Delrio's is a wonderful Sardinian cellar restaurant in the centre of the city of York. This place is easy to miss as it has a rather inconspicuous exterior, so be careful not to walk right past. Once inside, there is a vibrant and friendly atmosphere. There is a large menu with a diverse range of meals on offer, with seafood being a particular speciality. As well as Sardinian food, there are lots of familiar dishes for those who don't feel up to experimenting. A lasagne is around GBP6 and pizzas cost just over GBP5.
Food was lovely, very lively, good selection of wines and liqueurs. Unusual setting in a cellar, with individual dining areas in brick vaults. Only open evenings so don't turn up expecting lunch.
