Visitors will be forgiven for thinking the Irish have conquered Heidelberg, as this Irish pub, in a beautiful, cream-colored building in the old city, is one of many that have taken root in the city over the years. It's a popular place for locals and American ex-patriots alike, who come to enjoy fresh Guinness on tap, nice German beers from the region, and a decent selection of hearty pub food. If you want a seat at night, it's best to arrive early: the later in the evening it is, the busier and livelier the place becomes. Sport fans will be pleased to know there is a TV in the back.
