Right opposite the slaughter houses near the Sportpaleis you have several so—called meat restaurants, and the Veehandel (Cattle Trade) is one of them. This attractive restaurant goes back to the '50s and hundreds of photos and drawings decorate the walls and tell the story of the cattle industry. There's no better place to eat quality meat than in De Veehandel. If you prefer not to eat meat, try some of the best tomate crevette (tomato filled with shrimps)in town.
