The Bevis Marks Synagogue was established in 1701 and has the distinction of being the oldest one still in use, in Britain today. The interiors are lavish and detailed and contain all of the original furnishings. It also houses a remarkable archive of records dating from the mid 17th century. It is worth a see as much for its interiors and architecture, as it is for its significance for the Jewish community.
We were looking forward to are 2 weeks break in the summer, and no wonder, we love the hotel but the food's was bit under cooked but I surpose, that is what the spanish like their food. But ... more
