Average rating:
Founded by millionaire playboy Peter Stringfellow, Stringfellows is probably London's most notorious restaurant and club. The whole place hasn't really emerged from the 80s, and the crowd tends to be slightly older than the twenty-somethings partying in the rest of Covent Garden and Soho. The downstairs restaurant is famous for its lap dancing, performed by the Stringfellows Angels. It's a shame its not better known for its food which is actually very good. The dress code is fairly strict, so jeans or trainers will not do. Admission costs £10 before 10pm, £15 after 10pm.
