A McGill student-ghetto standby for many years, this Italian joint and pizzeria occupies the semi-basement of an attractive brick building. Students, professors and other budget-minded types enjoy superb Italian submarines, wood-fired pizzas and competent oven-baked pasta dishes, all delivered by a smiling and efficient staff. You will see couples on a casual date, large groups of students ready to hit the town and others hashing over presentations. Bring a big jug of Chianti and have a good meal for under CAD10. Expect lines on weekend nights, and bring cash.
