Although it's inland, Skopje's climate is nevertheless quite temperate. Although winters can be chilly, especially so at night, spring kicks in relatively early. Summer, in fact, can cause a moderate level of discomfort, although nighttime temperatures even in July and August dip down into the teens and provide some relief. Late spring and early autumn are the best times to visit.
