Getting there

Trains service Harrogate from Leeds (50min) and York (45min).

National Express also has a good bus service to Harrogate. Bus 561 runs from Leeds (50min), Bus 383 runs from Ripon (25min), and Buses 36 and 36A run between Ripon, Harrogate and Leeds.

Getting around

Buses are the main form of local public transport in and around Harrogate. Harrogate & District (01423 566 061) is the local company - they have a red, cream and black colour scheme.

Cycling is a great way to explore the town. Helsby Cycles (0845 345 9954; Leeds Rd) rents out bikes.

Underground car parking is available at the Harrogate International Centre. There are also three multi-storey car parks in the town centre.
