Cardiff International Airport (01446 711 111) is the closest airport to Bridgend.

A rail link connects Cardiff International Airport to Bridgend Railway Station. Trains from London Paddington, Swansea and Cardiff are also linked to Bridgend. Contact National Rail Enquiry Service (08457 484 950; www.traveline.org.uk) for all information.

Stagecoach is the southeast's main long-distance bus operator. Contact Traveline (08712 002 233; www.traveline-cymru.org.uk) for a timetable. Otherwise, National Express (08705 808 080; www.nationalexpress.com) offers similar services. It is located outside the Odeon Cinema in Bridgend.

Getting around

If you'll be using buses frequently, save money by getting a Network Rider pass - it can be used on all buses operated by Stagecoach South Wales, Chepstow Classic Buses, Welcome Travel, Glyn Williams Travel and H&H Coaches.
