Getting there & Getting around

Getting there

The London, Tilbury and Southend line connects Basildon to central London via London's Fenchurch Street and, less frequently, Liverpool Street Station. Catch trains from any of Basildon's three stations: Pitsea, Basildon and Laindon.

By car, the A127 at the north end of town and the A13 on the south side are both handy for London and Southend.

Billericay and Chelmsford are more easily reached by bus.

Getting around

First Essex Buses Ltd (01268 525 251) provides the main bus service in Basildon.

For a taxi, call A & B Taxis (01268 555 555) or Ace Taxi Group (01268 532 532).
