Though not as well-known as the Oktoberfest, the Frühlingsfest (Spring Festival) is smaller and just as much fun. In fact, the Frühlingsfest is a bit like the Octoberfest for insiders -the beer tents and fun-fair rides are still there, but the tourists are gone. Great news for all those who like the beer-swilling, oompah band kind of atmosphere but find the crowds at the Oktoberfest too much. It's held in the last week of April and first week of May every year.
