This smoke-filled shop, Memphis Tobacco Bowl, is a haven for downtown pipe and cigar smokers. Smokers can sit and play a game of chess or backgammon, or read one of the many magazines available from the store's newsstand. Others may indulge in the fading art of conversation while enjoying their smoke. The tobacconists are willing to chat with their patrons and offer advice on products. The owners are proud of this historic location, the building was built in 1913, and cite some of the more famous customers of their establishment over the years, such as William Faulkner and Vernon Presley, Elvis' dad.
