Alamo Theater Tour the mammoth Galloway United Methodist Church, the historic Municipal Art Gallery and the 1940s-era Alamo Theater. Learn about the history of the South at the Mississippi Museum of Art, then enjoy a hearty meal at CS's.

Jackson Zoological Park Jackson Zoological Park, founded nearly a century ago, is also located downtown near the elegant Jackson Mynelle Gardens and the Russell C. Davis Planetarium. The Blue Cafe is a good place to stop for a meal. Also be sure to visit the Medgar Evers Home Museum, a Civil Rights landmark.

Mississippi Museum of Natural Science In the northeast area of Jackson you'll find the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and the Ink Spot Gallery. There are also many restaurants here, like the Little Tokyo Restaurant and Deja Vu.
