This beach lies on the southern side of Pyynikki ridge, between Hotelli Rosendahl and Lake Pyhäjärvi. Strictly speaking there are two beaches close to each other; two stretches of sand are separated by a path leading to a pedestrian bridge, which in turn leads to rocky Jalkasaari island. Next to the beach, there are open lawns suitable for ball games and other recreational activities as well as simple relaxation. On warm summer's days, the beach and the green are occupied by dozens of swimmers and sunbathers. The beach is a very popular summer venue, especially among young people with picnic baskets. On the beach, anyone can try their beach volleyball talent; in addition, the only professional tennis tournament in Finland takes place on the clay courts of a nearby arena every July. The easiest way to get there is on bus number 27, which stops in front of the hotel.
