Chances are, that kid will not need to know anything else before clamoring to go, but here are some details anyway. Dreyer's Grand ice cream offers tours of its facility that take you through every stage of the ice cream-making process, including a look at the gargantuan 500-gallon flavor vats and a (mercifully) brief walk through the freezer, which is kept at 20 degrees below zero. The highlight of the tour, of course, is the tasting room.
