Expat trap

The prices in this place are about the same in many US places now. Beers are now about 800HUF or $4. It is prowled by 40+ year old contractors for the US gov who stay in the nearby Corona hotel and hit on every girl near them. There are a few Hungarian women who frequent there but they are a bit low class and are far outnumbered by the men. The place can get quite crowded and smokey, it seems to save on electricity they never turn on the ventilation system. Like many other expat places it's booze and beer are watered down and there is also the high chance that they are serving bootlegged booze. This is a dirtly little Hungarian secret. Never drink the spirits here. Come to Budapest in the summertime and go to the outdoor bars otherwise known as the "kertes" much cheaper, more fun, lots of cute girls.
