Why on earth do people bring kids to sin city?! The strip is nothing but drinking, gambling, smoking and those annoying folks handing out info on hookers. This goes on 24/7 not just after dark. Leave the kids at home and get away for a couple of days of indulgence. The casinos are a ton of fun the shows fantastic and the restaurants are amazing. I found the buffets to be average and the food at the Tournament of Kings awful, but you get what you pay for and Vegas is no acception. Even if you don't gamble, walking through the big casinos is quite an experience. Everything is larger than life and most hotel/casinos have fun things to do for free or next to nothing. The Bellagio fountain is beautiful, the Secret Garden at the Mirage was well worth the money, the rides on top of the Stratosphere were thrilling and the view at night spectacular! There seems to be something to do for any budget. They may call Circus Circus the place for family fun, but it is still a casino(a smelly one at that). Unless you want to spend a lot of money on cab rides or like to take the bus, I suggest you bring your walking shoes. You can easily walk the strip, but the escalators are not always operational. Not wanting to miss anything, I walked A LOT. I enjoyed my stay at the Bellagio and hope to return sometime. The only thing I did not do and wish I had was see the Hoover Dam...ran out of time and energy.
