I paid 6 months in advance for a Queen size bed and a handi-cap room and they gave it away to someone that just walked in.They tried to give us a lower grade room and I had to fight them to get what I paid for.

(Report Problem)las vegas is changed a lot. it's like, if you have a lots of money or there is no attention or respect. most of the hotel employees are rude and the service are very poor. i've been in vegas 15 times. it looks like everytime getting worse. if you have children las vegas is not a place to be. the good old las vegas is GONE. there, is so crowded that if you are driving on the main strip, for 1 miles distance it take you 90minutes wait...........................

(Report Problem)we have been to vegas 6 times and truely love it, we make sure we stay in a different hotel everytime, our favourite so far was aladdin, because of the time difference (8 hours) we are usually up around 4 am for the first 2 mornings but it doesn't matter because everything is 24/7 the grand canyon and lake mead are a must and you can have hours of fun on the cheap if you keep to the penny and nickle slots we are taking our 7th trip for the centenery in may, can't wait!!!!!

(Report Problem)I love this little city! I think I'm a throwback to older times, because I loved the aesthetics of old Las Vegas and the odds were better. Huge props to the Stardust where the service is excellent, it's a young gamblers hidden jewel. I went to Vegas to play cards and old Las Vegas still ranks high in terms of service and fun! Also, I saw many a hotel the Bellagio is beautiful as is the Venetian, but I have to mention the Monte Carlo, with its understated elegance!

(Report Problem)This was a great place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there. The Hilton had a great room for one night ... but the Hilton's casino had the worst smell of smoke from the smokers, who where everywhere. The best parts of the trip were hiking at Red Rock Canyon ($5/car/day) and going to the Cirque de Solel show "Mystere" ... amazing and well worth the price ($95/ticket). Gambling was fun in spurts, but my last visit had been 18 years ago ... and I missed the clink-clink-clink of cash payouts from the machines. The "cash out" bar-coded ticket was easy and convenient but not very satisfying. The red-eye non-stop on America West was smooth and fast, but we slept very little in the cramped, hard seats. All in all, this vacation was better than we'd hoped. My 2BR/2BA timeshare was 20-30 min from the strip, which was great for "getting away from the crowds". Met my sister-in-law and her hubby for a few days as they came to town for a convention ... and had a great time with them.

(Report Problem)Westward Ho is convienent in the middle of the Strip. The rooms are small and have two full beds but they are comfortable and you don't need to walk through a large Casino to get to them. The Cafe is reasonable and the snack bar is down right cheap. they have good lounge entertainment and a cosy casino that feels friendly. Next to Circus Circus and Stardust, accross from Riveria.

(Report Problem)My favorite thing to do in Vegas is to eat at a buffet and then walk the Strip taking in all the sights from street vendors to the spectacular displays like the Bellagio water show to work the food off. The best area to stay in is either Downtown or on the Strip, especially for a 1st timer because CAT(bus) Routes 301 and 302 run back and forth through these areas to the biggest attractions. Tips and tricks, the best I know of is the 301 and 302 CAT(bus) Routes that run up and down the Strip and to Downtown. Daypasses are a bargain for most travelers The 301 stops at each Casino on the Strip, the 302 stops only at certain Casinos, it's an express. Downtown has the older Casinos and in my opinion better gambling as well as the Fremont Experience which includes a musical lightshow and often there are live performers there. There are plenty of trollies that are similar to the express bus service, they stop at certain hotels along the strip and cost about the same as a bus fare. I personally did a lot of walking because often the buses are full and will not stop, it can take a hour for a bus to stop in worst case senarios, and you get to see things at your leisure.
