Vegas has everything you could want in a vacation spot other than a beach. Gambling, theatre, top name entertainers, close to other wonderful sights (Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam etc)and many lesser known sights. You can eat at luxurious restaurants or cheap as you want. The variety is unimaginable.

(Report Problem)The food is excellent and a very good value. To get around, by foot, is wonderful. Don't need a car, when you stay along the strip.

(Report Problem)My wife and I went for her birthday and a much needed time away...without kids! We stayed at Treasure Island which was very clean and comfortable. This was a great place to stay, especially because of the location. We had a great view of the strip in our room on the 31st floor. We saw a comedy show at The Improv at Harrah's, it was great.Rita Rudner at New York, New York was good, but for the money we were expecting a little better. Also found a Dueling Piano bar at Harrah's, there was a fantastic piano player by the name of Scott Nicholson who really impressed us. The whole vacation was great except for the ignorant street people trying to hand out pornography as you walk by.

(Report Problem)They aren't kidding, the city never shuts down! That was the best part -- you could go late into the night partying at bars and clubs, or you could enjoy the day sunning at a hotel pool, or you could take the family to enjoy one of the many family-friendly hotels , or you could head out on a short road trip to see the Hoover Dam & Grand Canyon. Whatever you like -- fine dining/ casual dining; expensive hotels/ inexpensive hotels; people watching or just playing cards . . . Vegas has got it & then some! We had days where went went hard all day & then slept in much of the next day -- but we didn't feel like we'd wasted te day, because things don't "really" shut down -- so they're ready when you are! Vegas has something like 9 of the 10 biggest hotels in the world. With that sort of feat, you know that they've got customer service down to a science. And choose you hotel for what sounds like your taste -- they are all very different -- from te high-end (Bellagio & Caesar's) to the budget conscious off-Strip hotels. Go & expect to have a good time -- if you think your tpye of stuff isn't in Vegas -- look harder, it's there! (P.S. Pick up "The Unnofficial Guide to Las Vegas 2005" It looks daunting, but it will answer any question you have & will give great insider tips to help ensure you have a great time . . . well worth the investment!)
