Vegas Aint Bad
Las Vegas is fun, but it can be dirty as well. You need to know the right places to go and what to see. The BEST thing about Vegas is the food! :)

We live here AND take wonderful mini vacations here, too... Playing 'tourist' is great! Can't beat the entertainment, restaurants and the bright light city that sets your soul on fire! ;-)

Las Vegas, NV has become a trap in which one can lose a lot of money. The hotels no longer offer good service . . . the food, for the most part isn't that good . . . or if it's good it really costs a lot. The best old time vegas style restaurant is William B's in the Stardust.

The people are very friendly. You have a great shows in almost any hotel-casino. The price of hotels will meet almost any budget. I would not go during any holiday, the hotel prices are the highest at that time. The same can be said during the Super Bowl, NASCAR, and last week of the NCAA basketball tourament. Make sure you see the FREE shows outside the hotels. Also make sure to go to Fremont Street downtown. Hint do not rent a car the taxies are really reasonable. Why have a car if you are only park it at the hotel.

Love the restaurants and shopping in Vegas. I'm not a gambler, so that isn't why I go. Just a fun place to get away to, with lots to amuse, divert and entertain. Must see: New Cirque show - Ka at MGM Grand.

Over-all on a scale from 1 to 10 i'd give vegas an 8 on fun and entertainment, but honestly on romance it would be a 5-6,but we've never been there by ourselves, its always been with some friends. My wife and i love las vegas we spent our tenth wedding anniversary there,and its a great getaway for us, we like to gamble, see shows, and pool side it , plus some of the buffets are really great. we try to to go once every six months to a year.

It was fun to see the casinos and lights, but it was too much like a circus experience. Some of the shows are neat in that you can get good seats in small theaters. I was excited to get to see Sheena Easton and was able to shake her hand and talk with her a moment. You don't get that kind of opportunity in most theaters. Overall though, it was brutally hot, and the areas past the strip are baren dessert. No trees, not water. I can live without it.

I love all of the food varaties that are in Las Vegas. The hotels are a nice sight to see as well. You can get exercise by waslking up and down the strip and no even be bothered about it unless you are there when it is really hot.
