The worst place to travel yet. It isn't very interesting and the people have attitudes and are very rude. The service there is unbelieveable. They don't even check on you. You have to call them over to your table just to get some service. This was the worst vacation I have ever took. I would have rather went to work for a whole week.

(Report Problem)I moved to Boston from the mid west fresh out of college. I fell in love with the city and the life that it afforded. A tight, somewhat chaotic street pattern (rumor has it they're based on cow paths) with narrow tree lined streets makes it a frustrating place to drive and park, but a marvelous place to walk or bike. With the Emerald Necklace (a continuous network of Olmsted designed parks) and tons of little shops and boutiques you won't mind the walking. As for the denizens, I at first found them somewhat unfriendly. But its just a matter of picking an appropriate time to try to converse... on the street... nope. Boston is an urban place, and so is its culture. Coming into contact with so many people as a result of walking or taking the T (that is what the transit system is referred to as)is bound to make one a little short. But finding the spots where people unwind such as a sidewalk cafe or cozy little bar will do just fine. I know I'll be back soon!!

(Report Problem)Best city in America! Small city charm with a big city atmosphere. the worst part is early closing times. diverse crowds, old, young, gay, straight, black, white. Kind of like a much cuter, cleaner NYC. Shopping on Newbury or in the Pru, or even in Copley Square is fantastic. If you haven't come to Boston, you're missing out. Not only is it a world-class city, but it's a great experience for those that are more interested in historic America as opposed to contemporary society.

(Report Problem)Boston is a quaint, beautiful, historic town that provides all the amenities of a big city, while being close to Cape Cod and the National Seashore on the Atlantic. It is my favorite east coast city because people are less rude than in New York, most of the nation's historical beginnings are there and the lobster is always fresh!

(Report Problem)The people are so nice and helpful! The street system and driving is one of the worst in the country. Lots of fun shopping and sites to see. Would recommend one of the trolleys initially to see all of the sites and choose those you want to see up close. Loved Cambridge too!

(Report Problem)I've lived right next to Boston for 17 years and it will always hold a special place in my heart. While not as spectacular as New York City or San Francisco (in my opinion) Boston is almost unmatched in pure charm. In terms of convenience, Boston can't be beat. It is truly a walking city. Boston, along with Cambridge, abounds with arts, universities, and down to earth people. Even without the World Champion Boston Red Sox and the soon to be Superbowl champion New England Pats (3/4 baby), Boston is still a premiere city in the United States by any standards.

(Report Problem)Great city, lots of history and fun things to do. Great college city. One problem, things are kind of expensive.

(Report Problem)Boston is a great town. The combination of early US History and large Irish population makes the place feel a little more European than other cities in the US. Thaniel Hall is a great place to go shopping and get food. Lots of cool bars around there too that are quite good. Boston is certainly a party-town and can seem like there are an over-abundance of frat-guys. Overall, it is a great time. Just don't wear a Yankee hat.
