Having lived in Baltimore, New Orleans, Houston, London, Brazil, Melbourne, Turkey, and the Virgin Islands; I would say that Baltimore is an excellent place to live and visit. And it's getting even better. Baltimore has all of the Big City conveniences and culture with a small town feeling. it's location is perfect for exploring the East Coast--1 hr from DC, 1.5 Philadelphia, 2.5 NYC, 1 hr Amish country and outlets in Lancaster, 3 hrs hiking in the Blue Ridge Mtns. Several top colleges in the world keep the atmosphere young and dynamic, while appreciating the historical feel of the city. Like any large city, crime can be a problem, so ask locals before driving at night, but the avg. public school here is better than most large cities, esp. in the suburbs. MUST DO: see a blues band in Fells Point (esp. the Cat's Eye Pub) and there's a rest. that only does deserts in Little Italy; I can't remember the name, but ask around--my sicilian grandfather in DC would make us drive there and get their Cannoli's for every holiday--that good!

(Report Problem)too much crime, police are over zealous, the city is quick to tow your vehicle. The city towed my truck on a sunday and caused $4000 in damage, which they would take no responsibility for. And gave me a parking ticket without a court date.

(Report Problem)Baltimore was a great experience for me. I went on a trip there and it was great, Baltimore has a lot of friendly people and lots of tourist attractions. There scenery is truly breath-taking. I suggest you take a trip there.

(Report Problem)Most people would say that Baltimore is a nice place. No, Baltimore isn't all that it is cracked up to be. Stay away!!! Don't come to Baltimore, speaking from experience, Baltimore is a horrible place to live.
