As a former Chicago resident living in the suburbs of NYC, Chicago has wonderful restaurants, world class museums, and great architecture. For a great view of the city skyline (ranked among the big 3 in the world along with NYC and Hong Kong). The Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of John Hancock Building provides great view of the Loop and Lake Michigan while enjoying drinks without paying admission fee to go to the top of a skyscraper! For museum fans, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago Art Institute, and Museum of Science and Industry are hugh and world class. For a nice view of the skyline from North Michigan Avenue to the Loop, ride the CTA L Brown Line ( the line is entirely elevated). In the summer, a guided boat tour gives excellent views of the Loop as it navigates the Chicago River. For those who love Indian food, Devon Street in West Rogers Park neighborhood has the largest Indian shopping area in North America. Tiffins ranks the best Indian Restaurant I have eaten nationwide.
