Chicago overall was a very nice place to visit. The public transportation was overall good, and the downtown area where I stayed was very clean. But, the attrations such as the museums, and such were very packed, as it was spring break. My suggestion is not to go during spring break, as there are a lot of families there and many people are crammed into the museums. Many things in Chicago are overpriced, such as the museums, food and gas. Of course it depends on where you come from. The shopping was good, as well as the atmosphere. I felt very safe, except for the crazed drivers that live there. Many of the locals at the train station were very rude. The city overall is fast-paced and you are forced to think quickly or ahead of time. The best thing to do is plan ahead and have a back up plan as well.

(Report Problem)As a former Chicago resident living in the suburbs of NYC, Chicago has wonderful restaurants, world class museums, and great architecture. For a great view of the city skyline (ranked among the big 3 in the world along with NYC and Hong Kong). The Signature Lounge on the 96th floor of John Hancock Building provides great view of the Loop and Lake Michigan while enjoying drinks without paying admission fee to go to the top of a skyscraper! For museum fans, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago Art Institute, and Museum of Science and Industry are hugh and world class. For a nice view of the skyline from North Michigan Avenue to the Loop, ride the CTA L Brown Line ( the line is entirely elevated). In the summer, a guided boat tour gives excellent views of the Loop as it navigates the Chicago River. For those who love Indian food, Devon Street in West Rogers Park neighborhood has the largest Indian shopping area in North America. Tiffins ranks the best Indian Restaurant I have eaten nationwide.

(Report Problem)I went there a few years ago, and it is by far one of the wrost cities I have been to. Don't listent to these reviewers. If you want to get robbed, carjacked, or ripped off, then go to Chicago. Everyone is rude, or either a tourist. It's great if you havea business, but forget it if you want to have fun.
