Love the islands! Finally get to go back this spring. This time with our son(9yrs old).

(Report Problem)I enjoyed the close proximity to Pearl Harbor, Dole Plantation, Diamond Head, and the beaches. The people are friendly and there is something to do for everyone. The weather was great and the cultural diversity was a breath of fresh air. Is a great family vacation spot - would recommend taking children with.

(Report Problem)Honolulu (and Oahu in general) is magical! When my husband and I enjoy what Oahu has to offer. The people, the tourist offerings, the shops, the whole "aloha" spirit!

(Report Problem)It was great! Nice and green and laid back. The water is warm and beautiful. The days go on forever so you have more time to do what you want. Haha It was just great! I can't wait to go back.

(Report Problem)I love Hawaii! My husband and I visit every November. Yes, Honolulu is a big city with big city headaches, but it's all worth it. The people are friendly, the surroundings are quite beautiful and you can get away from Honolulu/Waikiki proper in just minutes and feel like you're in another world. The Bus (which is what it's called) runs like clockwork and you can get around the Island quite easily. I do recommend renting a car, even if only for a few days, to see the outlying areas such as Pali lookout, Hanauma Bay (snorkeling) and of course you must pay your respects at the Arizona Memorial. All in all, anywhere in Hawaii is a must see/must do. You'll be glad you went.

(Report Problem)I found Honolulu to be perfect in every way! The temps were gorgeous, the food fabulous, wonderful scents in the air, the people friendly and anything you could want to do is there. I barely noticed any difference of price at all when eating out, unless I ate at a hotel restaurant. The only thing I didn't like was that I only had three weeks to stay there! :(

(Report Problem)I love Hawaii!! It is a great place to visit, when you go make sure you travel around the whole island and see the non-tourist areas and those are the best places!! And always check around for the best flight and hotel you can get some great deals if you take the time to look!! Aloha!!

(Report Problem)Honolulu is a great combination of relaxation and activity. The people here are very friendly, and the culture is warm and laid back. Waikiki makes for fun people watching. It is a great melting pot of people from all around the world. Don't worry too much about your hotel, because you likely won't spend much time in it. Also no need for a car, as most things are within walking distance. You can easily make arrangements for transportation to things that are not. If you stay in Waikiki you won't need to do much traveling. There are hundreds of shops and places to eat. Food and such may seem a little spendy if you are coming from small-town USA, however, if you are traveling from a greater metropoliton area you will settle in just fine. A week in Honolulu is a good amount of time, 8-10 days are great. If you can, try to travel to Kauai for half the trip. It is very beautiful and quiet. Party it up in Waikiki and then relax in Kauai-that is the best trip.
