Overall
The history of the area-the architecture and fact that the place is just old. Some of the areas close to the historic district are not in the best repair but if one takes time to talk with the people who are native to the area it is a fascinating. Lots of other areas to visit very close. Tybee Island for one. If into military history see the "Mighty 8th Air Force Museum" just out of town. Excellent seafood.
