We have to say that it was one of the best vacations EVER!!! My husband had never been on a boat in the ocean and we went on a dolphin watch!! He and I both loved it!! If you have the time you should visit Tybee Island too!!!

(Report Problem)The architecture in Savannah is amazing! The entire city was mapped out for the sake of beauty , concevnience and comfort. Great food, especially seafood.

(Report Problem)If you're thinking about visiting Savannah, prepare to park your car and walk. Parking in the city is scarce, and when we were there, they were discussing removing one of the major parking decks downtown and turning it back over to the historic district. With it's grid pattern layout, we found it very easy to find our way around town and walked just about every part we could think of. The historic side of Savannah is gorgeous, clean, and felt safe even at night. We did go out to Tybee Island for one day, which isn't very far and found that to be a great addition to the experience.

(Report Problem)Could not find a link to real estate properties. I think this would be a good thing on your site for people who might be considering moving to Savannah. Thanks.

(Report Problem)I would never have considered Savannah as a vacation destination, but after my first trip there in '02, I have been back each year. This is a great town. The historical district is one of my favorite places on earth, and River St. is even better! I'm not a touristy kind of guy, so setting on River St watching the ships go by, good food and more local history than you can shake a stick at is about as good as it gets. People treat you nicely, there is plenty to do no matter what you like and the city is pretty. What more can you ask?

(Report Problem)this is my absolute favorite place to visit. my heart melts when i arrive in this town. the moss in the trees creates a canopy that envelops you. wonderful walking town. the prices are getting too expensive..... but it's still a great place.

(Report Problem)I have visited both Savannah and Charleston and I think that I have always had a better time in Savannah due to the fact that the historic district and the riverfront are very close and you can walk to most attractions. In Charleston it was very spread out and we spent a lot of money trying to get around the town. I know that Charleston has been voted for many years the most polite city but in Savannah I have always met very friendly locals that were always willing to point out the best places to go to eat and must see sites. The only downfall of Savannah is that the historic district is surrounded by terrible neighborhoods. It is a shame that they can not clean these neighborhoods up.

(Report Problem)My husband and I enjoyed Savannah but we like Charleston, S.C. better. I felt very safe downtown but we drove through a very rundown section to the north of the city to get to our hotel. We really enjoyed driving over to Tybee Island and had an great lunch at The Crab Shack.
