Moved from Atlanta after 40 years working there. It is a crime ridden, polluted, pollen coated, traffic nightmare.I feel sorry for those who must live there.

(Report Problem)I have been to the ATL twice. There is so much to do there. MLK area, Auburn Av, The Underground, Georgia Tech, Morehouse, Morris Brown, Clark Atlanta, CBN, Jimmy Carter's Presidential Librry etc. And 6 Flags is not too far away.

(Report Problem)The people were very nice, but overall, there was absolutely nothing particularly interesting or distinctive about Atlanta. It was like one big suburb and too easy to get lost in. The people are good drivers but on ordinary streets that twist and turn a lot, the average speed is 55. Also, there's just not a heck of a lot to do there. Spend four days in Atlanta and you'll pretty much have time to do everything.

(Report Problem)I have to laugh out loud when people claim Atlanta is the New York City of the South. Riding the MARTA (I did not have car there for my visit), the stops outside downtown seemed isolated (stations were not located along the core of cool urban neighborhoods, and the Buckhead station was located in the middle of the highway far from the active hub of Buckhead). Does Atlanta have any neat ethnic enclaves similar to Jackson Heights in Queens? If Atlanta wants to be in the same class of NYC and Chicago, Atlanta needs to stop urban sprawl and have residents move back to the city and build more MARTA rail lines.

(Report Problem)WE WERE PLEASANTLY SURPRISED TO FIND THAT ATLANTA IS VERY SIMILAR TO ANY BIG CITY WITH HISTORY, BUSINESS, POLITICS, ETC. THOSE KINDS OF THINGS INTEREST ME AND MY FAMILY. WE LOVED THE PIEDMONT AREA AND LITTLE 5 PTS., WHICH GAVE US A FEEL OF BEING IN BERKELEY, CA. THE JIMMY CARTER CENTER WAS WONDERFUL AS WELL. WE STAYED WITH OUR DAUGHTER WHO JUST BOUGHT A HOUSE IN CANTON. THE SCENERY WAS BEAUTIFUL.

(Report Problem)My flight into Atlanta was cancelled, so I had to switch airlines to Delta. My bag wasn't transfered and they didn't get it to me until 12 the next morning. Besides that...the city was nice. Just avoid the airport....DRIVE

(Report Problem)Atlanta is a great town to hear live music, catch a Braves game, or just hang out at a local pub. Traffic is only bad if you do not know your way around town. MARTA, public transportation, is a great option when visiting Atlanta.

(Report Problem)Actually I live here and think this is a great, energetic city. Lots of activities and events, lots of young professionals, traffic is bad but you will learn to schedule around peek rush hour times.

(Report Problem)I love this place, it was a new experience and it is way better than St. Louis. I could see myself moving to Atlanta after I graduate from college.
