Overall

This trip was part business part pleasure. First impressions of Miami were bad. I was a 'Preferred Renter' at Avis yet the shuttle bus driver took me to the walk-up renatl counter instead of taking me directly to my car. My second impression was the drivers, Miami drivers are very rude. They violently honk their honks and cut you off in traffic (and forget anyone letting you in). Also, the locals (other than those working for tip income) acted liek you were invaded their space. Many locals seem to forget that the live in America and treat you like a foreigner. Leaving Miami left just as good impression as my arrival. Airport staff (other than Delta)were very rude and yelled at many travelers. Now, the good side of my trip...the Keys were awesome and everyone I met was great! Perfect time of the year (except for the spring breakers but weather was just right). I stayed at the Garden House, it was an oasis of paradise. The state park beaches were very clean and the water was great. The long, slow drive down to Key West was worth it.
