Miami crack and crime
South Beach is nice to visit and the aquarium is Ok but stay out of the city unless you have an armed escort and an urban assult vehicle. Under NO circumstances leave the highway in the city.

Any warm climate can be romantic for northerners. However, out of all of the warm climate cities, Miami ranks at the bottom.

Miami is ome of the least romantic places in Florida. The west coast of Florida has far more to offer those interested in romance than Miami ever will. Check out Sarasota, Ft. Meyers or the pan handle regions. They have the beaches, great people, and are more affordable than over priced, crime ridden Miami will ever come close to being.

Have lived in Miami in intervals since 1956. Changes include increased size (area), increased population, and a remarkable increase in population diversity. With so many cultures represented, driving is much more dangerous, shopping more challenging, and privacy more obscure. Much better location for a visitor (called "snowbirds" here) than a resident. Cost of living very high, but since much of this is housing, taxes, and licensing, does not effect a tourist.

The city was in complete disarray and everything seemed very low class and dirty. Even the outside of the airport was very ran down and in need of major rehabilitation.

Romantic? I think not. There are so many plastic barbie dolls running around dressed like comeplete whores. If you want romantic stay away. If you want to pick up or get picked up in a club, then by all means come down!

Miami is a great time -especially if you are into clubs and exclusive niteclubs. For that go around Ocean Drive and dress up pretty and beg the doorman to let you in. The Beaches in the area are nice to and there are beautiful women for sure. Hotels are expensive -actually everything is expensive. Get ready to see lots of Ferraris and super-luxury cars. If you want to stay in a good hotel stay at the Ocean Club. It's great. Hip, Ultra-Modern. Beautiful. Plus Nobu is in the place. Outside of the swanky areas, there a lot of seedy parts of Miami that are fairly dangerous. Transportation is not existant and a car is a neccesity.

So beautiful and clean. Easy to find nice beaches that had a lot of people and some with hardly any people there that were amazing! I heard a lot of bad things about crime there, but when I felt a lot safer there than I do when I'm walking in Detroit or New Orleans. It was so clean every where I went too. I mean, every city has a ghetto, even here in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but the majority of it was amazing. Everything was expensive, but worth it. Also I've never seen so many hot attractive women. After I went there I checked out some colleges and found one that actually wasn't too expensive called Florida International University that has like 30k students there. It too was amazing.

The buildings in Downtown are pretty . . .from far away. The people living in Miami ruin what once was a beautiful town. There's just too many delinquent's running around doing whatever they want - therefore ruining everyone's experience. It's completely unsafe to live or visit. Traffic is always horrible. The heat is immensive in the summertime. Everything is expensive as hell, especially real estate. (renting too) The only good thing about this place is how conveniently placed their stores are. You don't have to drive too far for your favorite store. The bad news is . . it'll still take you 20 minutes to get there due to traffic.It's just disgusting and foul. Everyone is rude and selfish. Just go north to Ft. Lauderdale, trust me. At least there's class there.
