The city's layout is based on topography-rather than directions or a grid- so it is very easy to get lost. There are many unsafe neighborhoods you could end up in on accident. The hills are too steep for safe foot travel. The touristy part of town is so clogged with traffic that its difficult to find a place to park and get out of your car safely. If you miss the astronomically expensive parking garage, you need to drive around again through the crawling traffic.

San Francisco is a beautiful city and has something for everyone. Great clubs for the cool and/or kinky. Shopping is a must. Cable cars for the tourists. Fisherman's wharf are for those who love fresh seafood. It's a wonderful place for vacay. Public transportation or a cab is better than driving around. Hard to find parking!!

The wharf I hear thats one of the first things of main attractions about this city.I really like the how you structured the city on hills. Gotta be in good shape to climb the city.

San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world, and I've been around. Excellent food abound, wonderful people, most educated population in the US. Affluent, posh, and interesting, San Francisco honestly has everything. Dirty New York City doesn't even come close anymore. One day, I'm going to leave London for San Francisco.

I am from Columbus, Ohio and have family living in San Francisco. Columbus is about the same in population, so there wasn't much difference there. However; the city was very interesting. Since I am from the East Coast, it is very interesting to see culture there and how people live. The city itself is interesting at all times of the day. The weather can change in an instant, so you can always expect something new. Transportation can be a bit confusing at times, but you will be able to easily navigate throughout the city. Most parts are very clean, but there are a few neighborhoods that you should stay away from. I was pleased with the selection of food and entertainment. San Francisco has something to offer for everyone. You will not be disappointed. Things can get a bit expensive, but you can always go for a cheap trip and enjoy the entire city. I am planning for another trip not just because of my family but because of the city itself. Don't worry about the people there, they are generally friendly and enjoy life. Rush hour is a bit of a problem for visitors. Residents are generally in a rush and need to get to work. When you visit, try to avoid rush hour times as they will be hard to navigate through. I'm sure this city can please anyone. Since I am not looking at this city for a population difference (since Columbus is about the same), I can enjoy the city for what it has to offer. Take a trip here, you will enjoy it!
