(Report Problem)Overrated City by the Bay
If I'm going to pay New York City prices, I demand New York City quality. A city I had dreamed of visiting, it really failed to meet expectations due to its sheer dirtiness. I traversed the entire city on foot (easy to do if one is in shape due to the terrain) and felt safe, but the clutter, litter, vandalism, and filth greatly detracted from a very expensive, but otherwise moderately interesting, excursion.

San Francisco is the only livable city in the US. It is attractive and walkable. The rest of the US is basically either ugly suburban sprawl or slums. The best way to get know San Francisco is simply to walk around. Most of the city is safe. Golden Gate Park is nice, especially on Sundays when it is partly closed to traffic. Good restaurants are also an attraction in San Francisco.

The city of San Francisco has to be the best city in America. It has enough things to keep you excited about being there for years to come. Prices are much higher than in other parts of the world but all of it is worth it. Eveything around you is top notch.

Viewful sites are nice such as Golden State Bridge but everything else just blows. Transportion are horrendouse, entire city looks like its the slums, don't forget expensive. Getting to point A to point B is a pain. Unfriendly people as well. I even got mugged there in front viewful people and no one did anything about it. Not much of a great place. The city is all hype from pictures, horror show once you get there.

Beautiful city. Nice scenry from any part of town. The city is very romantic, so try to come here with somebody special.. It seems very safe, at least in the touristy parts. Hotels are not too expensive ($130) at the Courtyard. Parking is a hastle, sometimes. If you are in the city, make sure to go to Cobbs comedy club.

S.F. is an expensive city to visit, so here's a list of some fun things you can do for free! Five Free Things: San Francisco 1. Golden Gate Park – a perfect spot for snuggling, strolling, or having a picnic. Don’t miss seeing the buffaloes, the excellent children’s playground, or the botanical gardens (all free!). On Sundays, the city closes the park off to traffic, making it ideal for biking or rollerblading. 2. Free Museum Nights – every museum in the city has a free admission night, from Target Tuesdays at the Asian Art museum to the always free DeYoung Museum. SFMOMA and the Legion of Honor also host free nights. Check the museum web sites for more info. 3. Ferry Plaza Farmers’ Market – a foodie’s dream come true, this beautiful building has been transformed into the ultimate gourmet emporium. You could spend the entire morning noshing on free samples, but with so many goodies to choose from (Acme bread has a branch here), you might just end up buying something. 4. City Lights Bookstore – an historical landmark that’s still open as a business today. See where the beat movement was born, not to mention an incredible selection of books. 5. Chinatown – boasting the largest Chinese population outside of Asia, this quirky neighborhood has everything from souvenir shops to dim sum. There’s plenty to do and see for free, but bargains abound in Chinatown.
