I THOUGHT ONE DAY I WOULD GO TO SAN FRANCISCO & THAT DAY CAME IN MARCH 2005. MY DAUGHTER & I FLEW INTO LA & DROVE A RENTED CAR TO SAN FRANCISCO. HIGHWAY NO.1 WAS AWESOME AND ALL ALONG THE TOWNS/CITIES WERE BEAUTIFUL. SAN FRANCISCO HAS SO MUCH TO SEE & DO, TOURS EVERYWHERE, SHOPPING WAS SUPER AND WE DIDN'T EVEN GET TO REALLY TAKE IN UNION SQUARE...FOR SURE NEXT TIME. WE THOUGHT THE PRICES WERE AFFORABLE FOR ACCOMODATIONS, FOOD AND LODGING. WE FELT SAFE & WHAT WE SAW OF THE CITY, IT WAS VERY CLEAN. WE DID GET A $35.00 PARKING TICKET...NOT SO GOOD,SO BE CAREFUL ABOUT PARKING.THE CITY HAS ELECTRICITY IN THE AIR..WE HAD A GREAT TIME! STILL SO MUCH TO SEE & DO..WE'LL BE GOING BACK!

(Report Problem)I like the fact that the town is compact and full of character. The various neighborhoods have a place for everyone. The town can be unfriendly and "New York" like. Everything is expensive and the town has a large homeless population that doesn't seem to be receiving any form of help.

(Report Problem)My husband and I went with our kids in August of 2004 and we had a blast! The temperature was in the 90s, which we were informed was very rare. We did all the tourist things: went to Union Square where they were having an art exhibition, went on the cable cars, Lombard Street, Alcatraz,Chinatown, Fisherman's Wharf. We stayed in Union Square and what was amazing was that at 2 a.m. there was still a party going on in the streets below. On Saturday we went to a small Italian restaurant, Bruno's I think, on Bush St. It was awesome. I wish I lived in San Francisco!

(Report Problem)I liked everything about it. I went when the weather was perfect. The people are nice and the views are fantastic. I hope to go there again soon.

(Report Problem)I love San Francisco. I was born in Oakland, but haven't lived in the area for 55 years. I go to San Francisco every chance I get. I love the eclectic neighborhoods (Haight-Ashbury, Castro, etc.), the architecture, the views, the cable cars, shopping.

(Report Problem)Just a top-notch vacation in one of the most beautiful american cities you'll find, culturally, architecturally,... and the people were all so friendly. Yahoo Travel provided us with a excellent price for our Anniversay/Wife's birthday at a first class hotel !!!

(Report Problem)San Francisco is the only city in California that has a great urban city life. OK, the Fisherman's Wharf is a bit touristy, but I love eating Clam Chowder soup in sourdough bread bowl. The locals are very nice. I love the riding cable cars going along steep hills, tolerance (where gay people can be themselves and proud without facing discrimination from narrow-minded neocon jerks who are ubiquitous in the midwest). I love Chinatown and the ethnic diversity of its residents. Although another Yahoo reviewer of S.F. complained about its NYC expense, please remember, S.F. is the second most densely populated city in the U.S., so of course it will be expensive.
