Rekindle your romance!

five stars

My husband and I have been to San Fransisco about 15 times and we are not even 30 yet! Thats how much we adore the city. The houses are amazing. The atmosphere is spectacular! There is so much to do and see. Everytime we go, we see new things that we had not seem before. This a place to rekindle the romance! Very romantic city...

beautiful location, but...

two stars

this is a beautiful geographic location but the city is very dirty. room rates are extremely expensive. some truly excellent restaurants but pricey. much of the city is extremely "touristy" with excessive glitz. many supposedly homeless people sleep on the streets and annoy people with endless panhandling and are extremely rude and vulgar if denied.

Our favorite get-a-way

five stars

We absolutely love this beautiful city. It has become our favorite get-a-way. There's so much to do and so much diversity. We love the atmoshphere and the friendliness of the people there. The only downside we found was the traffic. But once you find a parking spot, there's plenty of things to do within walking distances from each other. We are repeat visitors and some of our favorite places to frequent are the various gardens at Golden Gate Park, Chinatown, Alcatraz, and Fisherman's Wharf. We enjoy taking a day to just drive around and see different neighborhoods and we love to spend a day at Pier 39. There's a nice variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment there. Bubba Gump's is definitely worth checking out not only for the great food, but the fun campy atmosphere as well. A great way to take in a variety of sights is on one of the bus tours offered daily. And finally, taking some time to just observe the natural beauty of the area in general is a must.

See you soon in San Fran.

five stars

I've never been somewhere so open. People can be who they want to be. My girlfriend and I (we are both straight) love the atmosphere and the people. People from all walks of life live, work and play together.

Take it or Leave it

three stars

Like-Atmosphere in cewrtain areas of town. Dislikes- Market & south of Market Street, did not feel safe, with panhandlers everywhere. Prices too high especially for parking.

SF and its personality

five stars

It is just so romantic with the ocean, museums, history and such personality. China town and the wharf are so fun to visit.

S.F., CA

five stars

I like the food, the entertainment, the beauty, the history, the art, the music. I dislike the number of homeless, the number of pornography shops, the trash in the streets blowing around and the lack of reasonable parking.

Fishermans Wharf or Union Square

five stars

If your a 1st timer coming, stay near Fishermans Wharf if trying to decide between that and union square. If staying at fishermans wharf you can walk a lot more places and it's a much more lively area. Access to cable cars is close, which makes a cheaper day compared to taxis. Make sure to take a day trip to Saucalito, it's a great town to shop and eat... try Scoma's restaurant, it's on the water and has great food!
