I visited Tijuana when I was staying in LA. I wanted to visit so I could say I've been to Mexico. We crossed the border through large iron gates to be confronted by a run down square with a few shops. We wanted to get to the main shopping area but were faced with dead ends. A taxi driver chased us downt eh road and said we had to take a cab. We reluctantly agreed and headed off to the centre. We paid the taxi man $2 over his price of $10. It was pretty mad on the main street with every shop owner trying to get us to come in there shop. I eventually bought a bottle of Tequila in one store and then got the first taxi back to the border. I was glad to get back again but at least I got my Tequila from Mexico.
Last Visit: November 2005
