(Report Problem)This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We stayed at the Melia Cancun and the service and the food was great. The bus stops right out front and for 65 cents you can ride from the clubs, the farmer's/flee markets or even Walmart. Be sure to stop at the Taco Factory for the best taco you have ever eaten.

(Report Problem)My wife and I just got back from Cancun. For the most part our trip was great. I recommend going to Tulum, playa del carmen, and Isla Muerajos (spelling?) As for Cancun its self the hotel zone is very commerical but fun. If your there for partying at night its great. Shopping is best durning the day. My only warnings are that we rented a car and twice cops pulled us over demanding money. If you stay polite its possible to talk your way out of it or at least down. Just remember if it sounds like bs then its negotiable. The only other part of our trip that was disappointing was we went to a bar called Congo. It was a fun place but i caught the waiter stealing my camera. He got to the back before i could catch him. I talked to other waiters and the manager but they didnt care. They actually offered me someone elses camera when i made up a story that i worked for a travel agency. In the end I have to admit I wouldnt go back. I have been on 4 vacations in the last year to Laguna beach, miami beach, and morocco. I would say all of them were better, but that is just my opinion.

(Report Problem)The best part of Cancun is obviously the resort area. The night life is definitely more ideal for spring breakers/partygoers. Although there are some nice resorts in Cancun, stay further south (Playa De Carmen)if you want something more exclusive. Cancun is more for adults than children in my opinion. A couple of helpful hints for first time travelers: 1. Avoid individuals after you pass through customs to avoid "timeshare" solicitors. Free tickets may be tempting but your vacation time is more precious than sitting two to three hours the next day on a pitch that doesn't make economic sense. 2. Tour excursions are not that great if you are staying less than a week--most of the time is spent waiting for people vs. actually spending time at the tour site. Before you know it, the whole day is gone and it's 6 pm by the time you get back to your hotel. 3. Take a direct flight if at all possible! Definitely, avoid connection in Mexico City; that place is a zoo! Or else have some good tennis shoes and know where you are going before hand.

(Report Problem)My vacation in Cancun was the greatest time of my life!! I went in May of 2004. Spending a week in paradise, I didn't want to go back home to California. The flight is long but well worth it in the end. I would love to go back every year if I could. I spent most of my time laying on the white sandy beach with my maragrita in my hand. Make sure to take your sunscreen... you will burn the first couple of days. Then you become a gorgious sunkissed golden brown. The people of Cancun are so... friendly. They will do anything to make your vacation the best you will ever have. I would move there if I could.

(Report Problem)On a side street off Kulkulcan, GCPS was quiet. Room was nothing special. Best meal was at Shangri-la, worst had to have been The Barn. Never had to wait long. Good burgers and nachos at the beach bar. Lots of loungers by the pool and by the beach. Drinks were fine and ranged from weak to strong. Trips we took included: Chichen-Itza (great, long bus ride for $45), Isla Mujeres (so-so, made for a long day after kayaking, snorkelling and touring the town). Bus rides 6.5 pesos and you go to go all over Cancun. Cheap and easy transportation! Expensive to eat off-resort. Went to bars: Margaritaville and The City. Buy the wristbands if you drink more than four or five drinks. All in all, enjoyed it and would go back, but taking teenage son with us next time, possibly Melia Turquesa...
