I was extremely disappointed in my Cabo San Lucas vacation. Cabo is no better then a trip to Tijuana except they have a beach in Cabo. Prepare yourself to be bothered by steet vendors, people trying to sell time shares, far over-priced products, and average food at higher than California prices. In one hour in a Cabo beachside restaurant we were harrassed by almost 20 street vendors that had no consideration for someone eating lunch - 10 year old street vending children would blow a whistle in your ear as an attempt to sell it! Not only will I never go back to Cabo, I will never take another vacation in Mexico. The car rental company even ripped us off. Everyone is trying to make a buck from you in Cabo.

(Report Problem)There are tons of things to do in Cabo San Lucas, but if you want a taste of real Mexico, take the 30-minute drive along the corridor to San Jose Del Cabo. There are shuttle buses that make the trip for $1 a person each way. San Jose is a beautiful town with better shopping, restaurants and atmosphere than tourist-infested Cabo. It has a laid back feel, and strolling the tree-lined streets of old town is worth the trip. While in San Jose you must experience the fine dining at Don Emiliano's on Blvd. Mijares.

(Report Problem)Cabo San Lucas in general, was a fantastic place to visit. Everyone (with the exception of some hotel staff at the Finisterra), was more than accomidating. Downtown and Marina district were spottless. All public restrooms were clean. Shopping and dining was a bit pricy but exceptional. The No Where Bar was a personal favorite of ours for drinks and dancing. Also Taco Loco for great inexpensive food. Hotel Finisterra was just alright. Very close to town, but not very luxurious. Service was just O.K. Our shower drain was backed up, air conditioner was too loud to run at night, and it was always noisy outside. Traffic in the driveway right outside our room kept us up at night. Although pool service at the bar was extremely slow, the pool itself was great. Actually there are three pools and several spas, all very nice. I reccomend this hotel for it's location only. About ten minutes walking distance to town. Just be ready for the huge hill you have to climb to get to the hotel every time. In any case Cabo cannot be missed. It is definately one of our favorite vacation spots. Can't wait to go back!!!

(Report Problem)This was our first time to Mexico, and it was about as perfect as it could get. There is a lot to do for both adults and kids. We were busy every day, and only scratched the surface of possible activities. We really enjoyed the ATV tour - but check it out first. Some of the operators let you do anything crazy - we met at least 5 kids who got hurt (rolling the ATV off a dune, etc). We chose Desert Park (twice!). They check out your driving ability, and then keep the tour to a reasonable speed. They stop 2-3 times to point out the plants, geology and wildlife. Our 12 year old drove his own and was fine. However, if you want a crazy drive, use a different operator, but BE CAREFUL! As far as fishing, it's pricey, but worth it, if the fish are running. We didn't have much luck, but March is the end of the season. We went up to Cabo Pulma for snorkeling (a 2 hour drive), but there are good snorkeling tours in Cabo San Lucas. Very good selection of restaurants. You have the chains (Margaritaville, Houlihans, Ruths Chris), and a lot of good local ones - we REALLY liked Mi Casa (beautiful outdoor dining), Fish House (great food), and Nik San (mexican-japanese fusion)/ You REALLY need a car - taxis are expensive, and a pain to deal with. All the big chains are down here - make sure to get the Mexican insurance.

(Report Problem)My fiance and I spent a week there in November of 04. We had such a great time and relaxing experience. Plus the nightlife is awesome! So many different things to do! We already bought our tickets and are going back for another week with our friends just 6 months later! Thats how fun Cabo is. As soon as you leave, you are already planning your next vacation back to Cabo San Lucas. In fact, we are planning to have our wedding in Cabo
