The real place of interest of the city in is the old city and its religious melting pot, the east and north palestinian quarters where people are nice and friendly, mea shearim and its freaks inhabitants who are missing their 19th century central european ghettos. I really enjoyed the place but the current Israelean colonisation policy and their building of palestinian concentration camps enclosed by the so called security wall put this wonderful place in jeopardy.

(Report Problem)Friendly quite and nice of both sides of the city. reasonable prices at hotels, though restaurants are quite high for what they serve. it is a lifetime experience,if you dont look for trouble you dont get one.

(Report Problem)Loved, loved, loved Israel. It was wonderful. The people were polite and generous. Had no safety concerns at all - the security throughout the country is top notch. In terms of religious and historical significance, Israel is the ultimate destination.

(Report Problem)Before I decided to write this to post on the page, I looked all over the Jerusalem travel page for a way to first contact someone at Yahoo. Finding nothing, I felt it necessary to post these corrections to your slide show on Jerusalem: Slide #2 - is NOT the Mt. of Olives, it IS Mt. Zion and the church shown is the German Catholic Church of the Dormition Slide #3 - is NOT the southern wall of the Old City but rather, the southern wall of the Temple Mount... in fact, the part you show is just inside the southern wall of the Old City Slide #5 - The Dome of the Rock is NOT a mosque - it IS a Shrine which houses the "Foundation Stone" and a lock of Muhammed's beard... Slide #13 - while it IS an overview photo of Jerusalem, the part of Jerusalem that is plainly seen is the Old City - what is in the foreground is not a "settlement" as implied in the caption but is the ancient Jewish cemetery which has been there for thousands of years. Slide #14 - you identify as Al Aqsa Mosque, but (again), it is NOT Al Aqsa, it IS the Dome of the Rock which is NOT a mosque! Except for the above identified mistakes, the slide show is quite nice. I agree, though, with the other reviewer that more photos of, say, Mea Shearim, Ben Yehuda Street and such would be nice, since Jerusalem IS the capital of Israel and is so much more than just the Old City. (Report Problem)I love Jerusalem and all the Holy sites arround it. however, I don't see any pictures of the Western Wall, so important to many travelors, or of fabulous shopping in the center of town in Jerusalem, such as Ben Yehudah street. thismnsite seems to favor Muslim and Christian intrests.

(Report Problem)I was shocked by the Isralies !!! I, as an american, has always thought they're great people, unfortunately, after seeing what's going on in that part of the world, I guess I have had misunderstood everything ! They are treating those poor Palestinians in a way you would puke if you see it. Their checkpoints are awful, they even hit & insult those poor people, I've seen in it in my eyes unfortunately :(
