One of my husband's favorite city. I've been there several times and have family who live there. The exchange rate may not be so good, but you can save a lot when you by the London Vistor Travel Card for riding on the Tube and Double Decker busses. In addition, if you like to see all those touristy places like the Tower of London or any of the galleries, try getting a London City Card. You can save a boat load of money rather than paying per place, which can get quite expensive. Great day trips to go to are Bath and Stratford-Upon-Avon (great to go once, but a total tourist trap) I don't eat in any of the hotels. They can charge you up to 5 pounds for breakfast, unless it is complimentary. I just buy some fruit, bread, at a shop and go. Much cheaper.
