Can't wait to go back!

five stars

People were very friendly, and the city was beautiful! So much to do, so little time!

I love London and so will you

five stars

Go in August to get a tour inside Buckingham Palace...must see museums Victoria & Albert, National Portrait Gallery, Tate Modern and Tate Britain. Great day trips to Bath, Stonehenge, Windsor, Hampton Court. You will never tire of London; you will never have time to see a fraction of it; it is truly a world city. Many museums are free admission but food can be expensive. Eat ethnic, especially Indian, and have pub lunches and you will be within your budget.

Stay away

one star

It was terrible. Too much bad weather and too many Brits.

Very nice, but not cheep!

five stars

Love London's vast store of history, museums, interesting sights. Once you grow accustomed to it, Underground is quick, cheap, efficient way to get around. Only problem is just about everything else is expensive: stores are higher than U.S. for same merchandise, although some items of high quality (cashmere, high end leather goods) are reasonable relative to what they are. Restaurants are outrageously high for the most part! Will go again when the exchange rates are better!

Worth the wait!

five stars

I waited many years before I actaully got the opportunity to travel to London and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I did Westminster Abbey and The Tower in one day, it was a tonne of walking but absolutely breath taking. If you love history this is the place to go. If it's shopping you're looking for find Harrods, Selfriges, and Camden Market. I can't wait to return to London as soon as possible. It is a city that must be seen to be fully appreciated.

Been to London Twice, and Still Haven't Seen It All

five stars

I don't think I can honestly say there was anything that I disliked about London. Fantastic people, friendly and helpful. Delicious food. Excellent transportation. Loads of things to do and see. LOTS of things to do for free. Easy access to everything we wanted to see and do. A "BIG BUS" Tour is highly recomended. Excellent value for you money. Then a walking tour available with your Big Bus tour in the evening. Also a must is the London Dungeon. Not for young children or the faint of heart. Bur GREAT for everyone else. The London Eye is fantastic. Even if you are slightly afraid of heights, you can enjoy the scenes. A very relaxing way to see the city. It feels very safe and comfortable. Boat tours, walking tours, museums, people watching, bus tours, flower gardens, swans, statues, relaxing in the park..... And THE TUBE. I think the best way to get around. Quick, easy and inexpensive. Black Cabs are terrific. The drivers and very helpful and friendly. If you haven't been to London, then what are you waiting for?
