greatest city in the world

There is no other city comes close - this is the greatest city in the world. Simply look at it as a s continual flow of creative ideas that seep outward and shape the world - literature, language, democracy, rock etc etc . London has no physical barriers - you will find its icons in Morocco, Spain or Shanghai.

run away from home

I lived in london last year after i ran away from my home town in northern ireland, i regretted every minute of it as i was not well. i blame my partner as i was only 17 and just out of hospital after a serious illness. he was 42. i hate the place although i did love longon bridge. i would never as long as i live go back. it was a nightmare. one i would like to forget.

Coming back for more

Having lived in London in the 70's I returned for a few days in the 80's and was thoroughly disgusted at the filth on the streets. Happily when I visited with my young family last year (2005) things were much better.London has got its act together we enjoyed the lord mayors show, the london eye, tussauds,houses of parliament,theatres,and we even saw the queen arriving at Buckingham Palace with the Duke of Edinburgh! All in all a fantastic place for a city holiday.I have only a few reservations ; there are too many places offering below standard food, some shop workers who are obviously not long in the city and don't have a grasp of english are extremely rude and offhand whereas people who have been in the city for a long time whether born within the sound of bow bells or otherwise were much more helpful.Please don't let a few rude inconsiderate people put you off one of the best cities in the world! I know how bad reviews can do harm to your home city- I am a Glaswegian!

I like England because of its own culture, British people are cool and they have the sweetest accent EVER!!!!!!!! Premier League and British Pop Music ROCKS MY WORLD!!

London is amazing

London is a great city with much to offer. The city has many great sights. Great sights to see are, Westminister, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Regent's Park, Jame's Park, Horseguard Parade, Victoria Street Cathedral, Tower Bride, The Globe, The Column, Trafalgar Square, the three Arches and much more both in the city centre and greater London. Maybe one sight to skip would be the Tower of London. It is certainly not worth the 10 pounds entrance fee!!! The city is beautiful, quite clean and very monumental in places. The weather is better than most would expect and the city is very easy to navigate. I've been to London twice and have had many dealings with Londoners. Those in the tourist and service industries are fine but the average Londoners on the street are extremely rude, unhelpful in the extreme and a little aggressive. I have never come across people like them anywhere else in the world. However London is still well worth a visit and a place to go back to many times and I have happily returned since!

Gay heaven

London is an amazing city. Friendly, tolerant people. Fantastic nightlife, brilliant gay scene. ``check out the clubs in Vauxhall!

Dispite the Londons Bombings in July 2005, London contimues to be a fantastic city with fantastic people.
