london is top

london is great! The only reason I don't go much is because it's so far from Manchester. I love all the tourist spots, especially Madame Tussauds and Edgware Rd. We stayed for a week and went with family- there's so much to do.

Lovely London

i havent been to london before, or if i have it was properly when i was a baby or small infant or just passed through. but im certain that it will be great. you wanna know why i think that because ant and dec work in london and i think they make london fun to be in even when im all the way back in NEWCASTLE. I love ant and dec, they make television fun to watch.

The city of experiences

When we first decided to take a trip to London I felt a bit wary as it's such a big city. We had absolutely no plans other than to just get to London. Once there we first walked around, ended up at St Catherine's Wharf which is quite an experience in itself. You'd actually need more than one day to explore the city. We then decided to jump on a tourbus. You can get on the bus and get off at many places to walk around places that are of interest to you and then get back on the bus again to continue the journey. To see The Tower of London is quite an experience if you know the history of the place. The "Gherkin" is more or less like an eyesore and then again quite in the right place. I would have liked to go to Mme Tussauds but the queue was so long there was no point in standing in it and loose other opportunities. You'd have to stay there at least two days to see that as you have to get there early in the morning to be among the first ones it's so popular. The trip we took just scratched the surface so we'll definately be going back soonest possible. It's a wonderful city full of buzz.

Great vallue, historical must.

They had a fantastic one man show, of the home guard when i went with my 10 year old son, went for an hour, was there 4. It was great, well worth the visit

Best city in the UK

Public transportation is very convenient with one ticket for London underground (tube) as well as buses. Buses operated until 2 -4 am. Busy and crowed China Town area. Good atmosphere at bars and clubs. Ppl are not very nice all the time. Great place to work in but everything are expensive. Best route is to travel along the River Thames, where you can see Tower Bridge, No1 Downing Street, London Eye...Can not miss Buckingham Palace and British Museum, National Gallery,Trafalgar Square, Biggest area to shop is Oxford street. Heathrow international airport is huge and busy all the time taking you 20-30 minutes just to travel among these terminals.

I want to go back!!!!!

I went there last month and I didn't want to come back to Buenos Aires. London is definitely the best city in the world ...I can't wait to go there again!

Useful Travel Tips

I found www.ukgrapevine.com a really useful resource for inexpensive UK travel ideas. Plus, it has numerous suggestions which I had never heard of before and not just the usual Big Ben, Oxford Street highlights that lots of websites mention.

dont just go to london

Whilst London is a great place to visit, its not the be and end all of great britain, get out of london and meet the real people that belong to these british isles, if you want to meet friendly people that are not just after your dosh, then visit the north of the country where the weather is colder, but the people are warm and friendly. see Wales and Scotland, and see how beautiful this country really is, and then visit Ireland for the icing on the cake, London and londoners are so different from the rest of us, so don,t judge the rest of the country as the same
