Arrived in Glasgow for the New Year’s celebration but was disappointed when they announced the cancellation, BUT when seeking another venue/attraction someone suggested salsa. "Salsa!" I hear you exclaim, yes, Salsa in the heart of Glasgow. I've never danced in my life but I thought "what have i got to lose". So we were directed towards the Ashanti Dance Company which is situated in the West End of Glasgow who were hosting a New Year gathering for all practioners of Cuban Salsa. We were welcomed in as soon as we reached the door and our host Tracy Taggart was excellent. We danced to our amazement and loved every minute of it! The atmosphere, the enthusiasm, the hostess (WOW) made this the most memorable New Year celebration ever.
