I was born and used to live in Edinburgh - in a village just outside the city centre - for the majority of my life. Its a beautiful city and has a wide variety of things to offer such as The Fringe Festival, Mary Kings Close, The Castle and my favourite, the Princes Gardens. I go for the shopping of course because no where has a better arrangment of shops. Of course there are tourists, but I find it annoying when we're just wandering around shopping etc and all we are surrounded by is foriegn accents, its kind of defeats the purpose of being in the Capital of Scotland.

(Report Problem)Wonderful city!!! I like it. Great atmosphere beautiful buildings... and all the rest that other people say. No this is not the most beautiful thing from there. But the people. I remember I was standing in the streets or outside of the restrooms in the restaurants and locals were coming and talking at me. They are so friendly sometimes annoyingly. I remember I was talking with someone about if I could relocate there . How do you face the foreigners??? They said you are welcomed here... It was brilliant... I would go there with a heart bit. The only thing you won't like is if you go during the festival then the city is very dirty. The 500.000 population becomes 1.500.000 and as you know it's gonna be a little bit littered. Lovely after that...

(Report Problem)Impressive with many old building along the river, castle of Edinburgh is a very good location to have a whole view of Edinburgh. The price here is expensive but we have many choices of foods. Main transports are bus and train. Long shopping streets. Many places for nite life with bars pubs and cinema.

(Report Problem)what we like is the friendly atmosphere as you are made to feel very welcome. there is so much to see and do whilst on a short stay to edinburgh. so if you like sightseeing, fringe festival, hogmanay, photography, shopping, eating out, clubbing, walking, hiking and just to simply relax and enjoy the scottish culture and history then this is the place to be. the only dislike i have is the weather as it can change so quickly and of course it is quite cold in winter. wrap up.
