(Report Problem)My girlfriend and l have been through out Ireland but never North. This year after reading the brillant reviews on Belfast we booked our cheap flights and a hotel which was very reasonable.www.belfastsightseeingtours.com was highly recommended on a lot of the reviews so we booked a tour on line. Our hotel on arrival was very warm and welcoming the nite life is excellent a lot better than most european cities. The next morning our tour guided arrived at the hotel to pick us up this was the high light of our visit. With some hilarious stories of the past and the sights and landmarks the murals painted on gable walls were breathtaking. So 6.8 million tourist came to this hidden treasure last year l guarantee you wont be dissapointed.

(Report Problem)I am not a visitor since I will be here to pursue my studies for 3 years. At first, arriving here and visited some places during my first few months, Belfast has something interesting to offer for visitors and tourists. There are historical and cultural places to be explored, including the Titanic Quarter where Titanic was constructed. The Grand Opera House has always bring spectacular stage productions which I dont miss to watch. Belfast nightlife is not good compare to other cities like Dublin and London since majority of the bars close at 1am. There are package tours available for reasonable prices to explore neighbouring towns like visiting the Giant's Causeway, Belfast Castle, Londonderry Wall and the Mourne's Mountains. Finally, despite the troubles in the past, Belfast has moved on into a dynamic urban centre and the peope are friendly and nice to visitors.

(Report Problem)What can I say? I work for a small newspaper in England and when I was told by my husband we would be going on holiday to Belfast, I was more than disappointed. However, we got to our hotel and I was already impressed. The people had been so friendly and gave us tips about where to go on nights out, when seeking good A class Entertainment. The very first night, we went to a traditional Irish pub. The young (gorgeous) man who was singing was absolutely stunning. A rich, full voice, with power and emotion. His name was Cian Nolan, middle name was also displayed, I've a feeling it was Cian Ross Nolan. The pub went silent everytime this young man opened his mouth to sing. On speaking to some locals, I found out that Cian Nolan is from West Belfast, Falls road. His mother Ann is a singer and his late father was also an Entertainer. Cian Nolan has apparently been involved in Theatre in Ireland and overseas. The young man has a voice to die for. I was reading about his dance work and his Musical Theatre work. The most talented Singer I have heard in a very long time. The city itself is very much aimed at tourists. All the locals were friendly and helpful. I found everything over there reasonably priced and the shopping is great. The nightlife is brilliant. I really enjoyed the traditional Irish scene.

(Report Problem)I'd never been to Ireland before, let alone Belfast. Our trip was tempered with a little apprehension because of recent troubles in the province but in all honesty we had nothing to worry about. The people we met were amazingly friendly. We were invited to the Belfast City Transport Club, which was, for complete strangers, quite an honour. We found the city a little disjointed in terms of visiting places of interest and surprisingly the Ulster Museum is undergoing a major refurbishment and won't be open for at least another year. Didn't do the bus tour round the city. Felt that at £10.00 per person it was probably more cost effective to go on the black cab tour (£25.00) which was more personal. The Crown is a must-see place and if you like jiggy music Fibbers is the place to go. Be warned though, it gets absolutely packed out! The only downside I found were the hoardes of Romanian beggars hassling people for money. They were ostensibly selling the Big Issue, whether illegally or not, but in my opinion they were doing "genuine" Big Issue salesmen a massive dis-service and devaluing the good work that Big Issue has done for genuinely homeless people over the years. (Apparently, the Romanians come up from Dublin every day on the train) Would I ever go back? Possibly, but only if the beggars are moved on.

(Report Problem)Great little city! Good food, good night life, good fun. City life with the countryside on the door step. Fantastic views of the city from the hills that encircle the city! Interesting buildings to look at, such as City Hall, Queens university and Stormont Buildings. If only it was a little sunnier!

(Report Problem)Clean. Friendly. Easy to walk about. Easy to find good food. Easy distance to the Giant's Causeway. Dump the car, meet the locals. Tough to find tourist information in the city. Couldn't find Irish goods, it's full of GAPs, etc..
