the best city

Zurich is one of the most beautiful city in europe. And this because it's very clean. The locals know that it's bad to drop litter in the middle of the street and they always place the rubbish in the bins. That happens because they have education.

Great for: Skiing/Snowboarding, History/Culture, Theatre/Music, Family Holidays

I was bored

It was like any other city it didn't really grab me. I needed to go there a few time on business and it has put me off ever visit switzerland towns for pleasure.

never tired of it

My experience in Zurich was just great. Although I didn't stay in Zurich, I was a short train ride away. The rail system in Switzerland was the best I experienced. The tourist office at the train station was very helpful in providing information about tours of the area. Using the map available I was able to walk my way around Zurich with no problems. Although Zurich is a big city, the traffic was not a problem and walking was the best way to see the sights. Dinner in the evening beside the lake was something I never tired of. I would highly recommend a day or two or three in Zurich and the surrounding area.

Zurich

Very nice city, nice place to start and end a trip. Not a huge amount of things to do within the city though.

Worth a visit, or two, or...

Easy to get around on foot, or by tram. Arrive and leave by train. The old city is simply gorgeous. Full of cosy shops, restaurants and cafes. Then there's the Limmat to stroll by, and the lake to take a ride upon. The architecture and history is worth the visit too.
