I went to the island of tenerife and I fell in love with the hot sunshine, mixed up with the consistently cool breeze. It was lovely and warm during the day wihout being humid, wheich meant the nights were not uncomfortable at all. Found most places sold steaks and pizzas, but they all were in big comepteition with each other. Rocqefort cheese is cheaper out there and they tend to use it in sauces. Take full advantage!

(Report Problem)Weather-perfect 24 c Accomodation--excellent St Barbara bungalow complex, Playa de Inglis Car Hire excellent, Cicar, despite a mishap on a mountain road i was recovered promptly and given another car by most helpful people, thank you all including the fire brigade. Food - brilliant thank you OK Restarant and staff Dislikes--Too many people appeared overcrowded.Too much traffic, like rush hour all the time and the road system was frightening unless you were used to it But generally very friendly people and it made a nice winter break

(Report Problem)the only thing i disliked was the amount of scratch carders on the streets and the amount of anti social english drunks. i avoid them like the plague.

(Report Problem)We went to Gran Canaria in October. Liked it a lot, but I think Tenerife is better. Also the Canaries is NOT hot all year round. Canaria rained a lot of the time we were there and not hot enough for me to walk around in shorts all the time. All these places would be more enjoyable if it weren't for timeshare touts trying to con you all the time.

Thank you for sending in your review. The community appreciates your feedback. (Report Problem)Fantastic place, it has it all for young and old. Over recent years they have really clamped down on the nightclubs making it more of a family destination. Resturants for all tastes and budgets. The Canary Islands is the nearest place to the UK where warm weather and sunshine is almost gaurenteed all year.

(Report Problem)We have been to Lanzarote several times and love it. Playa Blanca is our favourite resort, quieter and more laid back than Puerto del Carmen. Cesar Manrique has had a big influence on the island creating some attractive tourist destinations. The volcanic appearance of the island is unique and awe inspiring. Don't miss Timanfaya and C Manriques house built in lava bubbles. The food is good and the fish excellent, try El Golfo sitting beside the surf eating mussels.
