Even though we only spent 1 day there on either side of our cruise, we loved it. The city is beautifull laid out, wide open roads, no/little congestion and friendly locals. We're planning our next trip to Spain already, to see how the other cities/ villages compare! Barcelona welcomed us as we got off the flight with beautiful weather and friendly faces. With a fair amount of difficulty, we managed to explain to the Taxi driver that we needed to get to port. The taxi ride was also a bit expensive, but this is a European standard. After disembarking from the cruise, back in Barcelona, we managed to get a full day of sight-seening in. The Sagrada Familia was nothing like the pictures! It's just awesome! The Gaudi buildings, lizard etc, all fantastic to see. Feeding the doves on the square, having hundreds of little feet and wings in your face - priceless! All in all, a fantastic city to visit, that deserves a 2nd and 3rd visit!

The thing I liked is the very colorful buildings at night would be dream for photographers. I also see buildings with shadows.The lighting is a challenge for photographers.
