(Report Problem)A great city at any time of year. In Winter you'll need to wrap up but you'll also get crisp blue skies and coffee al fresco. Summer is fabulous for some beach action if you're inclined. Stiges the famous beach resort is just a half an hour train journey. A ticket costs just 4 Euros return and is great for people watching and escaping the heat. Barcelona is a city of hidden sights, don't miss the biggies, La Familia Sagrada and the Museum of Modern Art (MACBA) but follow your nose and you'll stumble across local tapas and local people going about their business. Recommended Districts: Raval and Barri Gotic (Picasso musuem)

(Report Problem)Hen weekend, stayed at Hotel Banys Orientals, lovely hotel, very pleasant and helpful staff. It was a bit noisy at night and the rooms aren't that big but then again you should be out and about in Barcelona and not lounging around your hotel room. Go and do all the touristy things and you will not be disappointed, PLEASE do heed the warnings about pickpockets as one of our party had her purse stolen on the Metro. Great shopping and loads of fantastic places to eat and for six females we didn't get hassled once - I don't know whether that was good or bad!

(Report Problem)Barcelona is the capital of the mediterranean. Nice restaurants, cheap hotels and great night life. A must see city.

(Report Problem)Barcelona is extraordinary. From the Port Olimpic to las Ramblas, going through the old town you will not find a moment to relax. People is kind, food awesome, everything is cheap and weather fantastic. Nightlife is even better than day life and you will not stop going out from monday to sunday. You will not believe how incredible this city is until you have been there.

(Report Problem)The food is great. Suprised though that nobody has called out this city as a tourist trap. We ate at a restaurant where they started bringing appetizers, presenting them as though they were on the house, but then charged exhorbitant prices for them. We refused to pay for the stuff we didn't order, and then a waitress snatched money out of my girlfriends' hand. We complained to the tourist board, and they really didn't seem surprised, and basically just said this happens in Italy too (I don't agree.) This is not all that unusual however. I have heard stories about the taxi drivers taking long-cuts to boost up the meter, and all kinds of other swindle games that seem prevalent in Spain in general. Tourists get preyed upon in many places, but here it just seems a bit much. But anyway, overlooking the local hooliganism, I would say that it's not better or worse than typical European tourist destinations; guess it's really a function about how much somebody is a fan of Gaudi's architecture. Nightlife is better in Berlin, Amsterdam is more charming, Paris has better restuarants, Greece better beaches, etc. I found it interesting, but nothing spectacular.

(Report Problem)iBarcelona es bona si la bolsa sona! Best to visit in May. Anyone who enjoys a city rich in History, Culture, Art, Beautiful Coastline, Sunny Weather, and Friendly people. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) is a wonderful, peaceful place to visit on Sundays. Check lds.org to find a chapel locator. If you love languages you will love the language of Catalonian, which is a mix of mainly Spanish and French and many other latin languages. The metro system is flawless and the food is incredible (eat Jamon Serrano, Napolitanas, and Paella).
