(Report Problem)I found the people here to be, in general, very friendly, which is a nice change from other parts of Eastern Europe. The city is full of spectacular historical sights and some of the best views in Southern Poland. The relatively low cost makes it easy to get good accommodations and a wide variety of food. It is also a good home base to make trips throughout the area, especially to Auschwitz and Zakopane. I spent the entire month of July in Krakow this past summer and can't wait to go back, it reminds me of Prague when I first visited years ago.

(Report Problem)If you are on a budget or just want a unique place to visit that won't hurt your wallet I suggest visiting Krakow. It is one of the oldest, best preserved, and charming european towns I have vacactioned. Wawel Castle, Kazimierz(Old Jewish) district, and the Old Town Square (many fun shops) are just some of the things to explore. There are also excurtions outside of the city to places like the Salt Mines (One of the Oldest in Europe) and the town Zakopane (where just some of the things to do include hiking, biking, and swimming. It's also fairly cheap to go skiing in the winter time!). Anyway I can go on and on about Krakow. Go visit it, I highly recommend it and know you will love it.
